Scientific Names: Parides aeneas, Parides lysander, Parides sesostris

Origin: Peru

Size: 15.5 x 28.5 x D5cm

Description: Great combination of black swallowtails with bright red / green / blue markings. These butterflies feed on the Aristolochia vine which are poisonous and thus pass on the toxins to the adult who has an inbuilt deterrant against predators. These are beautiful species with elongated fore wings and pretty scallops on the hind wings. Adults ( who live for a short 8 days only ) feed on the flowers of Impatiens.
